What is the Resourcing Assistant?

The Resourcing Assistant is Silverbucket's built-in AI assistant. Ask it questions or give it instructions in plain language, and it acts on your behalf, right inside the app, using your own permissions. It can't do anything you couldn't already do yourself through the UI.

Where to find it

Look for the floating chat button in the app. Click it to open the assistant, type your request, or use the microphone to dictate. It replies in text.

Conversations

You can have a back-and-forth conversation: the assistant remembers context within your active chat session. Starting a "New Chat" clears the current conversation and starts fresh.

Good to know

  • The assistant is text-based only: no file uploads, and replies are text, never spoken.
  • It can't connect to external AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude. It's Silverbucket's own built-in assistant. (For that, see the MCP article.)
  • Availability depends on your organization's settings and your individual permissions. Not seeing the chat button? Ask your Silverbucket account contact.
  • This feature is currently being rolled out gradually across customers, so it may not be available on your account yet.

Can I use ChatGPT or Claude with the Resourcing Assistant?

No. This is Silverbucket's own built-in assistant. If you want to connect your own AI client to Silverbucket, see the MCP article.

Is this available on our account?

It depends on your organization's settings and your individual access. Contact your Silverbucket account manager to check or request it.

Can I upload files to the assistant?

Not currently — chat is text (or voice-dictated text) only.
