Person's view

The fastest way to get to your dashboard is through the home icon located top-left in Silverbucket. In there, you can find information about your planning situation, general information and competencies. Information can be filtered using the top navigation bar's "FILTERS" section as well. If you have enough user rights, you can make changes to your account, planning and competencies as well.

Planning

In the PLANNING view you are greeted with the graph from which you can quickly review your resourcing situation.
You can use the sliders located left side of the screen to only show information you are interested in.
  • Capacity = Workday length
  • Scaled capacity = Workday length * Capacity
  • Planned = resourcing for projects with Probability '0-99'
  • Absences = resourcing for projects with Project type 'Absence'
  • Non-invoiceable = resourcing for projects with Project type 'Non-invoiceable'
  • Invoicable total = resourcing for projects with Project type 'Invoiceable'
  • Actual hours = actual realized hours registered
  • Actual invoiceable hours = actual realized hours registered for projects with Project type 'Invoiceable'

You can also change the time mode (day/week/month/quarter) and data mode (hours, relative) on top-right of the graph.
Just below the graph is the list of projects you are part of and the resource allocations for those projects. If your user rights are sufficient, you can make adjustments to the resourcing plan as you please.

This information can also be grouped to your liking:
  • No grouping
  • Group by Project
  • Group by Role

If your Silverbucket environment has tentative allocations ("Soft booking") enabled, you can also change the mode from Confirmed to Tentative and vice versa.

Dashboard

In the DASHBOARD tab you can see your actual hours registered for current month and your current hour balance. The pie chart next to the calendar shows the amount of actual hours for Invoiceable projects and other projects for last week or last month.

Competencies

In the COMPETENCIES tab you can see all the competencies in the system and also evaluate competencies for yourself if your user rights allow this. On the top of the view you can see the categories of the competencies, the actual competencies under each category and the level of the competency next to it.

All the categories, competencies and the levels of competencies are built environment-specifically, so it can be anything that your organization requires. In this example below the scale is 1,3,6,7 (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert) but the scale and the naming can be anything something else as well. To evaluate a competency, simply click on the desired level next to it. By clicking that same space again, the evaluation value resets.

From the top of the view you can also search for the desired competency by name, decide if you wish to see only evaluated competencies or also unevaluated ones and sort the list of competencies in various different ways. Coloured numbering beside the competency category name describes how many of the competencies in this category are unevaluated competencies (grey), evaluated competencies (green) and evaluated target competencies (yellow).

Competency management is allowed only for users with admin rights. Adding new competencies and editing/deleting existing competencies and levels can be done by any admin of the environment. Administering competencies are done in the admin menu in the old user interface view.
