3) Create Your Project Team and Start Resourcing
Quickest way to find your newly created project - or any entity in Silverbucket - is through the magnifying glass (shortcut: tap SS on your keyboard).

In the opening view, you can search with keywords to find the necessary information. Once you have searched for your project, click on it to head over to the project's dashboard. Once there, you can start adding people (or unassigned roles) for your project by clicking the +ADD PROJECT ROLE button. More info here.

After the people (or unassigned roles) are added to your project, you can start making allocations for them. One resourcing slot and the number inside the slot will always represent the chosen time mode and view mode on the resource grid. These can be changed top-right of the resourcing grid.
Once you have added the necessary people and chosen the desired modes that suit your needs you can start resourcing. Fastest way to resource is by simply painting over the desired slots and afterwards selecting the amount you wish to resource. More detailed information here.

4) Making Resource Allocations for Unassigned Roles
Unassigned roles are useful when it is yet unknown who will perform the work but you know the amount of work needed for it.
To use the Unassigned Roles to the fullest, you need to first create the desired roles in the system. Creating new roles is done in the admin view: click the ADMIN text that is located top-right corner of the screen and select Roles.

New roles can be added with the +ADD ROLE button.

After the roles are created in Silverbucket, you can add Unassigned Roles for projects just like you would add people: in the Project's PLANNING as you click +ADD PROJECT ROLE, simply leave the USER information empty and just add a role for the project.

5) Find a Free Resource and Get the 'Big Picture'
The best way to look for a free resource is in the PEOPLE > ALLOCATIONS view. Here, you can find the Allocation Graph which shows you the capacity of the filtered people among with other data. Below it you can find a list of the people based on your filters. This view offers two pieces of vital information: the total allocation situation in the organisation and the workloads of the people on an individual level.
