We sent you an email dated 18 June 2026, where we informed you that we will close access to our old UI on 1 January 2027. Here we will gather the most frequently asked questions. Please feel free to send any questions you may have to support@silverbucket.com. We will gather them and answer them here in August.
When will this change take place?
Access to the old Silverbucket interface will be removed on 1 January 2027. You have until then to make the switch. We will be in touch again after the summer with further updates and live sessions.
Why is this changing?
We have been building and improving the new Silverbucket interface since 2021. It is now where all new features are developed and where future investment is focused. Maintaining two separate interfaces creates limitations for our team and, ultimately, for you. Completing this transition allows us to move faster and deliver more.
How will it affect me?
If your team is already using the new interface, you may not notice much difference. If some users are still on the old interface, they will need to switch before the end of the year. We recommend informing your team now and using the summer period to get familiar.
Do I need to do anything?
No. This change will happen automatically and we will provide a detailed transition plan. We will also have webinars available in both Finnish and English where you will have a chance to ask questions directly.
What does this mean?
From 1 January 2027, logging into Silverbucket will take you directly to the new interface. The old interface will no longer be accessible. All your data remains intact — nothing is lost in the transition.
What do we get? What do we lose?
You get access to everything we have built and continue to build in the new interface: improved notifications, better availability and sorting views, updated competencies, milestones, permissions, and a growing training library. Upcoming features — including AI-assisted resourcing — will only be available in the new interface.
You lose access to the old interface itself. If there are specific workflows your team relies on that you are concerned about, please send your questions to support@silverbucket.com.
How to get training for new interface?
We will arrange webinars to give general introduction to new user interface and you are able to ask questions there. Webinars will be recorded and available for further review in our HelpCenter site. We will gather also more material to our Training Library for feature specific instructions.
Which Silverbucket reports will be available in the new UI after the migration?
The new UI already offers the following reports:
Forecast report
Actuals report
Utilization rates & Invoicing rates
In addition to these, Silverbucket will temporarily allow the users to visit the old UI's reporting section so they can access some of the older reports:
Backlog
Budget tracking by projects
Cash flow
Graphical cost report
Overview report
Extensive project report
Flextime
Project costs report
Project numbers report
Project report
Project's hours per year
User report
This is a temporarysolution. At some point, we will revoke the access to the older reports and offer reports in the new UI based on our customers' needs; the plan is to have reports that cover multiple older reports at the same time just like the ACTUALS report currently does.
If you are actively using some specific report in the old UI and can't find a replacement for it from the new UI, please let us know by sending an email to support@silverbucket.com so we know to keep an eye out for it.
What about Filter Sets - are they available in the new UI if I originally built them in the old UI?
The Filter Sets should be separately created in the new UI. This is because the filtering system is a bit steeper in the new UI, providing more granular filtering possibilities to see the resourcing situation within your company.
Grid view / Burndown chart - will it be available in the new UI?
It will not be available immediately starting 1st of January, 2027. However, we do have a plan to introduce it to the new UI as well at some point after that once we have researched more into the UX of the feature and how it would be best implemented for our customers.
Send them to support@silverbucket.com. We are collecting all questions received over the summer and will publish answers in our Help Centre in August. We will also be hosting live Q&A webinars in Finnish and English — dates and registration details will follow after the summer.
