What is the Difference Between an Absence Project and Absence in the Admin Panel?

There are two ways to mark absences in Silverbucket:

- Absence projects

- Absences marked in the admin panel



These are usually distinguished from each other depending on the length of absence.



People’s holidays are handled with projects where the project type is set as absence. The project works in a similar manner as a normal project would, but the allocations made for an absence-type project will be marked with a bolded border to indicate the absence type.

For long-time absences where the absent people should also be diminished from the total capacity you can use the admin-pane's tab absences.

As an example, a long-time absence could be a maternity leave or student leave.
