Silverbucket allows you to add comments to resourcing slots to capture context about the resourcing situation — for example, noting a change in working arrangement, flagging a risk, or leaving a reminder for the team.
Comments appear directly in the resourcing view and are also visible in the Activity Feed.
Comments are added from individual resourcing slots in the People or Projects view. To add a comment, click on a slot to open the slot panel. You will see a section at the bottom of the panel. Type your comment into the text field and click .

You can apply a comment to multiple slots at once. Select the slots you want to include, then add your comment in the panel. The comment will appear individually in each of the selected slots.
Once a comment has been saved, a small indicator appears on the relevant slot(s). Click on the slot to open the full Comment panel and read all comments for that slot.
If a comment spans multiple dates, the panel will display all associated dates alongside the comment text.
Comments are included in the Activity Feed on the Projects Dashboard, under the tab.
To see comments in the feed, make sure the toggle is enabled in the Filters panel — any user can turn this on or off. When enabled, the feed will show:
- Rows that include both a resourcing change and a comment
- Rows that contain only a comment, with no allocation change
This makes it straightforward to track when and where comments were added, and by whom.
Any user with the relevant permissions can edit or delete a comment. To do so, open the Comment panel for the relevant slot and use the edit or delete icons next to the comment.
