Drag and Drop
The new UI offers a convenient drag and drop feature within the allocation grid, enabling you to effortlessly reassign project members between users, roles, tasks, and even across different projects.
Drag and drop can be done in many of Silverbucket's views and is a useful tool to move a membership from one project to another. In this guide, we are doing it in a single person dashboard in the PLANNING view.
- To move the resourcing plan from one project to another, it is best to use the GROUP BY: PROJECT option
2) Initiate the Drag and Drop Action
- Click on the membership in the left-side column: Click on the membership you want to move. The member should become visually selected & highlighted.
- Initiate drag: While holding down the mouse button, drag the selected project member to the desired destination.
- Finish the process: Release the mouse button to drop the membership to the new location.
Depending on your grouping mode and where you are performing the drag and drop procedure, you can perform the following actions:
- Promote to another user: Drag the project member to the target user within the same project.
- Reassign to a different role: Drag the project member to the target role within the same project.
- Move to a different task: Drag the project member to the desired task within the same project.
- Transfer to another project: To move the project member to a different project, drag and drop them onto the project title or designated area.
