In Silverbucket you can filter people according to your competency needs. Under the PEOPLE category you can find a filter called 'Competencies' which you activate by clicking on it. Afterwards, when you click SET COMPETENCIES, you can start the filtering process.

- you can search for a competency or simply find it from the listing in the left-side tab.
- If people must have of the desired competencies, click AND next to the competency name when applying it as a filter.
- If people must have of the desired competencies but not all, click OR next to the competency name.
After you have selected the competencies, click the chevron next to the competency name to set the required skill level. You can set both a minimum and an optional maximum level — useful when you want someone competent but not overqualified. Click the level once to set the minimum; the selector stays open and prompts you to select an upper limit. The filter button will show your selection, for example 2–3 for a range or a single number for a minimum only. Opening the selector again resets to the minimum step, so you can adjust either bound freely.
In the Assign dialog, candidates within the selected range score higher than those outside it, so the most suitable people appear first.
- If you want to remove a selected competency from either of the lists, hover your mouse over the name and click the X button which appears in the left-side of the competency.
After your selection is ready, press SAVE CHANGES and you get back to the previous filtering view.
