Milestones
Milestones allow you to mark key dates and track progress at both the project and program level.
Adding and editing milestones
Click the Milestones icon to open the milestone window, where you can create new milestones and view or edit existing ones.
Project milestones can only be edited from the project view. Program milestones can only be edited from the program view.
Where milestones appear
- Project milestones are displayed on the project graph and in the project activity feed.
- Program milestones are displayed on the program graph and on the graphs of all projects within that program. Program milestones do not appear in an activity feed, as programs do not have one.
Identifying milestones on the graph
When viewing a project graph, both project and program milestones are visible. Program milestones are prefixed with (PM) in their label, making them easy to distinguish from project milestones. The two types are also visually differentiated by line weight — project milestone lines are bold, while program milestone lines are lighter.
Access and transparency
Project members have visibility into their related program by default, ensuring they always have the broader context they need.
